Senior's Programs
Ten years ago Sari began entertaining seniors at Retirement Homes and for Day programs. Her 81 year old mother was part of the show. Sari sang and her mother told wonderful jokes. It was very successful but her mother soon retired and Sari carried on the shows by herself. Sari says, “It’s very gratifying to make seniors laugh and have them thank you for bringing back songs they grew up with and love.”
Senior's show:
- One hour of entertainment with Sari Featherstone consisting of songs from the 30s, 40s and 50s, Broadway hits, parodies, as well as jokes and funny stories. They love to laugh. The audience participates in the show and a good time is had by all.
Sing-a-long weekly programs:
- Once every week or bi-weekly, I will run a song circle at your retirement home where residents will join me in a designated room to sing our favorite songs. I will provide my song books and the background music. Classes run for 45 minutes and it is always well received. Everyone loves to sing.
Shows performed by the residents:
- Many seniors have a talent but no where to showcase it. I put together a 45 to an hour show just for them. They can perform as a solo act, in skits, in the choir or all three. We have 3 one hour rehearsals (I provide all the scrips and music) and then we perform it for residents and family. The residents absolutely love entertaining.
